Gutters That Actually Work in Colorado Weather
Gutters are one of the most underestimated parts of a home. Most homeowners notice them only when they fail — overflowing during a storm, sagging in the middle, leaking at the seams, or pulling away from the fascia. By then, water has often already damaged the soffit, fascia, foundation, or basement.
Properly engineered gutter systems prevent thousands of dollars in water damage. Improperly installed gutters cause it. Most of the gutter work we do as a restoration contractor is fixing previous installations that weren’t done right.
Seamless Aluminum Gutter Installation
We exclusively install seamless aluminum gutters formed on-site to match your home’s exact dimensions. Seamless gutters have one continuous run per side of the house — joints only at corners and downspout connections. This dramatically reduces leak points compared to sectional gutters joined every 10 feet.
Standard sizes for Colorado homes are 5″ and 6″ K-style profiles. We typically recommend 6″ for homes with steep roofs or large drainage areas, and 5″ for smaller or single-story homes. We’ll evaluate the right size during the inspection.
Storm Damage Gutter Replacement
Hail dents gutters. Wind detaches them. Falling branches crush them. After major Colorado storms, gutters are often the most visibly damaged exterior component — and they’re typically covered by homeowners insurance as part of a storm damage claim.
If your roof is being replaced under insurance, your gutters often qualify for replacement too. We document gutter damage during our roof inspections and include it in the claim documentation we provide to your adjuster.
What’s Included in a Gutter Project
Custom-formed seamless aluminum gutters in your color choice
Hidden hangers (no visible spike-and-ferrule)
Proper slope engineering for water flow
Downspouts sized for your roof’s drainage area
Splash blocks or extensions to direct water away from foundation
Gutter guards (optional, recommended for tree-heavy properties)
Removal and disposal of old gutters
Fascia and soffit inspection during installation
Why Gutter Quality Matters
Most gutter problems trace back to installation quality. Common failures we fix on previous installations:
Insufficient slope (water sits in gutters and overflows)
Undersized downspouts (overwhelmed during heavy storms)
Missing or inadequate splash protection (water pools at foundation)
Spike fasteners that pull away over time (we use hidden hangers)
Improper corner construction (where most leaks start)
Gutter installation is one of those jobs where the difference between cheap and properly done shows up in 3-5 years, not on day one.
